Spent my day in the kitchen making my fabulous sugar scrub. (That’s one of the many perks that come with being a kitchen witch; you have the softest skin)
It’s super easy to make.
Organic cane sugar (white and brown- though you can stick to either or)
Organic vanilla extract
Organic coconut oil (olive oil is a great alternative)
I am partial to all natural and organic ingredients for my soaps and scrubs. Non-organic ingredients will work just as well.
I mix about a cup of both the white and brown sugar (sugar is an excellent exfoliant and leaves your skin silky smooth), a tablespoon of the honey, a tablespoon of the coconut oil (this stuff is sooo good for your skin. It’s also a healthier alternative to vegetable oil when frying food), and a teaspoon of the vanilla extract (this is for scent. You can use sandalwood, lavender, or any other scent you like as long as its non-toxic and safe for your skin). Just mix it all up and you are good to go.
I make this for my friends, so it yields quite a bit of scrub. You can save it in an airtight jar or baggie for up to a month.
I mainly use it on my legs, but its safe for your entire body. Ladies, keep away from your sensitive areas please!
For my legs, I just a rub it on and shave it off. Use a disposable razor because it may ruin your razor head. Your skin my feel a bit oily at first, but once it absorbs into your skin it’ll be silky smooth.
If you guys try it, I’d love to know what you think! Pop by my inbox with any questions, comments, or concerns. I can also suggest alternative ingredients if you have an allergy or a dislike for any of the ingredients listed above. I hope you all enjoy!
